Introduction to Islam:

Islam is a religious belief system called the religion of Islam, founded on the firm conviction that there is a Creator of the universe who created Adam with His own Hands, and Adam is the father of mankind. He presented reward and punishment to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, but each of them refused, while the human being accepted this test; then He lodged him in Paradise and tested him in obedience, but Satan tempted him to disobey Allah, so Allah sent him down from Paradise to the earth, where his offspring were brought into existence and continued undergoing this test: that the obedient will return to the original dwelling, which is Paradise, and that the disobedient will enter the Fire, the abode of Satan who misled their father Adam, peace be upon him. Allah decreed the Fire for Satan because when Allah created Adam, Iblis, the father of the devils, refused to prostrate to him in honoring him as Allah, Exalted in might, had commanded, so he exerted great effort to take revenge on Adam and his descendants, and from here the story begins, which will continue until the Last Day, while all the descendants of Adam, peace be upon him, are undergoing this test. After Adam descended to earth, he had sons and daughters, and jealousy arose among his offspring, so one brother killed the other, and Adam’s pure creed changed into a new creed characterized by greed. The changing traits of the children of Adam began to appear, fluctuating between purity and turbidity, obedience and disobedience, giving and withholding, truthfulness and lying, loyalty and betrayal, and everything and its opposite, until from among his descendants appeared those who forgot the oneness of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and worshipped others besides Him, whether other humans, idols, animals, or anything else. At this point humanity needed a connection between heaven and earth, and needed someone to come and correct the path, reminding the children of Adam of their origin, that their father lived in Paradise and that sin caused him to be sent down to the earth as an abode of testing.

So God sent messengers—men from among their own people or from other peoples—who took up the task of guiding humanity back to the right path leading to their true home (Paradise). It was natural for these messengers to be denied, so they needed to prove to their people that they were inspired by God, the Exalted. Thus, miracles and extraordinary signs were granted to them, making it clear to onlookers and listeners that these messengers could not have brought such wonders on their own, and proving that they were indeed supported by God. The revealed scriptures—the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran—are filled with the stories of the prophets, peace and blessings be upon them. Therefore, there is no excuse for anyone to deny a man who claims to receive revelation from God then brings miracles confirming his message, especially when these miracles match the desires and needs of his people, not as tricks or illusions fabricated by the prophets themselves. When people believed in the messengers, it became necessary for them to know what was required of them, beyond monotheism, and how to organize their lives. For that reason, God sent down books such as the Psalms, the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses, the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran. In those laws, God explained His religion to His servants, presented evidence against them, guided them toward good, forbade them from injustice and evil, and removed the burdens and shackles that had been upon them. All these laws are for the one religion called Islam, though the names of the laws differ.

To make the picture clearer, the matter is similar to an operating system on computers, such as “Windows.” From time to time, the manufacturer develops new versions, and the existence of “Windows 98,” for example, does not mean that “Windows 95” is not Windows; rather, they are all simply modifications by way of removal, addition, updating, development, and simplification, but all of them are versions of one system called “Windows.” This does not imply any ignorance on the part of the Creator regarding the creation, but here there are details. Then there appeared the factions loyal to Satan, who saw the miracles yet denied and rejected them, even waging war against the messengers and prophets out of spite, envy, and allegiance to Satan. So God, the Almighty, sent upon them various forms and types of punishment, which He mentioned in His Book (the Noble Quran) and in the earlier scriptures with some detail. Then God sealed the message—He closed the door of prophethood and revelation—by sending the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Quran. Thus the religion was perfected, the favor was completed, and the gate of Paradise was closed to anyone who hears of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and does not believe in him. Since the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is the greatest of the prophets in the sight of God, the Almighty, his miracles were the greatest of all miracles, and his everlasting miracle until God wills otherwise is the Noble Quran. It contains scientific, literary, linguistic, historical, cultural, geographical, biological, and other forms of inimitable knowledge that no human being, whoever he may be, could encompass alone—especially given that some of these disciplines even contradict one another in method of study—yet the Quran speaks about them in one book, in chapters such as the chapter of At-Tariq.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful: In this surah, Allah, the Almighty, begins by speaking about massive celestial bodies invisible to the naked eye without telescopes—indeed, He challenged the scientific understanding of the “Tariq” phenomenon, which global space agencies (not founded or operated by Muslims) later confirmed as a star moving like one knocking on a door. Then He mentions another celestial body, the piercing star, about which non-Muslim space experts have statements affirming the truth of Allah’s words, the Almighty. Allah then shifts from the largest things unseen by the naked eye to the smallest also unseen, which is the sperm from which man originates; Allah did not stop there but precisely described that this sperm responsible for forming the body emerges from between the loins and the ribs, to draw attention to His power in creating man from the most insignificant things, even if man grows arrogant toward his Lord. The Quran details the stages of human creation from being a sperm to implanting in the egg in the mother’s womb—here there are details

Then Allah asks rhetorically: Is not the One who informed about this in a time when there were no telescopes or X-rays capable of resurrecting man after his death—He who originated his creation in an astonishing form that overwhelms minds, humbles hearts, and subdues intellects? Thus, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, addresses souls and bodies through His Book, for this is knowledge of the unseen, and belief in this unseen is one of the six pillars of faith.

Since there is no way to prove the unseen except through such methods, Allah continues to amaze creation with the knowledge He teaches them, informing them that what they have acquired of knowledge is but a tiny fraction. Consider airplanes, rockets, spacecraft, and minuscule electrical devices like nanobots that travel through the bloodstream to implant chips, stents, and break up stones—then Allah, the Almighty, declares that the knowledge granted to us is little. Indeed, even the greatest scholars on earth, whom Allah has shown some unseen matters like Al-Khidr in the story of Moses, peace be upon him (details here), said: “What we know compared to Allah’s knowledge is like a needle dipped in the sea—what do you think the needle takes from the sea?”

Thus, no religion has honored science and combated priesthood like Islam has, yet it contradicts secular values that accept creation without a Creator, provision without a Provider, life as wombs that give birth and graves that swallow. If they reflected deeply and contemplated the creation of the heavens and earth, it would guide them to Allah. Is this device you’re reading these words on now without a manufacturer just because you haven’t seen the factory, or does its existence point to the manufacturer—and moreover, to its exquisite craftsmanship?

Academy Objectives

The university aims to introduce Islam through an academic system that qualifies both native Muslims and new converts to deeply understand Islam, thereby dispelling the fever of Islamophobia and opening new horizons to introduce creation to the Creator and the greatness of this magnificent religion. It highlights Islam’s role throughout history in establishing principles such as preserving life, honor, and wealth, while removing the tarnish associating Islam with terrorism and confronting media tools that overlook leaders, empires, kings, and presidents—past and present—who, with a stroke of their pens, caused the world to lose millions of people mercilessly. It clarifies Islam’s role in affirming that humanity descends from Shem among whites, Ham among blacks, and Japheth among Turks and Slavs, without preference based on color, size, race, or language; believers are brothers, unlike eugenics ideologies claiming the white man’s right to lordship while others are slaves. The best example is that the most authentic book after Allah’s Book—the concise authentic collection of the Prophet’s Sunnah, known as Sahih al-Bukhari—was authored by a man from Bukhara who studied under scholars from that region, as were his famous students like Imam Muslim from Nishapur, at-Tirmidhi from Termez, and others. Indeed, of the ten Quran reciters, only two were Arabs, the rest non-Arabs (Ajam); even Islamic conquests were led by non-Arabs: North Africa and southwest Europe by Berbers (Amazigh), not Arabs; Constantinople by Turks, not Arabs—thus Islam expanded east and west through faith in Allah, human equality, and equal opportunity for all to become Muslims as slaves to Allah Almighty, enhancing chances to pass humanity’s test from Adam, peace be upon him, until the Day of Reckoning. Thus, the student gains a comprehensive picture of everything, enabling specialization later—”knowing something about everything is better than knowing everything about one thing,” and “what cannot be fully attained should not be wholly abandoned.” The university targets the young before the old for material simplicity, assigns specialized lecturers, and prioritizes women before men as they form half of society and bear the other half—a woman is an entire society. It aims for Muslims to know their rights and duties to represent their religion well, increase Muslim numbers, rescue creation from worshipping others besides Allah to worshipping Him, and guide them to what secures salvation in the Hereafter.
